The Tahini & Pekmez Duo brings together one of the best-loved pairings of the breakfast table. The rich sesame aroma and slightly bitter taste of tahini are balanced by the dark, mellow sweetness of pekmez. Mixed together, the two create a fluid, glossy consistency that spreads easily on bread.

At Tufan Organik, we put this duo together with the warm tables of winter mornings in mind. The oil in the tahini may rise to the top over time; simply stir it well before use. You can find your own balance by blending tahini and pekmez in equal parts or to your taste.

Serving Suggestions

  • Spread on toasted country bread and sprinkle with coarsely crushed walnuts.
